Oncology Clinical Advisory Committee Annual Meeting Highlights a Year of Growth, Innovation and Impact

The Oncology Clinical Advisory Committee Annual Meeting brought together leaders and stakeholders from across the Lumicera organization and partnering SSM Healthcare System to celebrate achievements, review performance, share best practices and align on priorities for the year ahead.
This meeting serves as an important component of ACHC accreditation requirements while providing an opportunity for clinical, operational and business teams to assess progress and identify new opportunities for growth and collaboration.
The discussions highlighted a year of significant momentum for the Oncology Center of Excellence (OCE). The program achieved record volumes of prescriptions dispensed and patients served, while maintaining high standards for turnaround time, accuracy and affordability. Oncology therapy utilizing patients also reported the highest overall satisfaction with specialty pharmacy services among all disease states supported reflecting the team’s continued dedication to providing personalized, high-quality care and support.
Attendees reviewed several operational improvements that have strengthened patient access and enhanced efficiency, including the implementation of urgent order scheduling, therapy-specific dashboards and same-day shipping indicators for urgent medications. These initiatives enhanced operational visibility, reduced turnaround times and enabled patients to start critical therapies sooner.
The meeting also showcased the OCE’s continued expansion and industry leadership. Through ongoing collaboration with health system and manufacturer partners and industry stakeholders, the team secured access to 22 new oncology and hematology therapies shortly after market launch. Additional milestones included expanding oncology screening capacity through advanced pharmacist training and earning acceptance of a national NCCN poster presentation with DosentRx, presenting real-world evidence examining treatment adherence, therapy discontinuation rates, and the underlying reasons patients discontinue therapy.
Looking ahead, meeting stakeholders discussed several strategic initiatives focused on expanding therapy access, enhancing patient satisfaction, piloting integrated practice models and standardizing urgent medication workflows. Ongoing process mapping, performance monitoring and cross-functional collaboration will support these efforts, positioning the Oncology Center of Excellence for sustained growth while keeping patient needs at the center of every decision.
This annual meeting reinforced the strength of the OCE’s multidisciplinary approach and its shared commitment to improving access, advancing innovation and delivering exceptional care for patients with cancer and hematologic conditions.
